*Duration-Long term contract* *Need local candidates* *Our client is seeking a Senior Hadoop Developer/Consultant for a long term opportunity in New York City. You will have the opportunity to work along side extremely talented technical individuals and be in a highly visible role within their healthcare analytics practice.* *Project #1- Migration of Healthcare Analytic SQL Server Databases (30-40 TB’s of data) to a more scalable platform that better meets their growing needs of their Healthcare services. They've decided that Hadoop would be the best solution for them, and this system would built using HadoopDistributed File System (HDFS) with the Hive Architecture deployed to AWS S3.* *This person will play a key role in the design, development and implementation of this and will need to have experience with (in order or importance):* · *Excellent communication and client facing skills* · *Hadoop stack, HDFS, Hive and HiveQL* · *Python- must be very strong with writing automation scripts and pulling customer configuration data out of MySQL databases* · *Migration project experience from any RDBMS to Hadoop.* · *T-SQL/SQL Server (there is another team that will be primarily responsible for migrating the data from SQL Server to HDFS/Hive, but solid knowledge of T-SQL/SQL Server is desired in order to provide support of any issues that are encountered in the migration)* · *MySQL (this is where the customer configuration data is stored and accessed via automated scripts written in Python)* · *Experience deploying to the Cloud (they are using AWS S3, but experience to any cloud platform will do)* *Samarth* *[email protected] <[email protected]>* *201 620 9700x125* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Vendors" group.
