*Duration : 9 months Contract * *Interview : F2F* *ONLY GC/USC* *The Team* * The Risk team within Spread Trading Technology performs strategic work to store and report Market Risk for both business and regulatory projects. The backbone Sensei system consists of Microsoft SQL Server database, Perl-based batch infrastructure and interactive front end written in C#. Our ongoing areas of development include VaR and Stress feeds, CCAR reporting, Market Risk reporting, and onboarding of new products and businesses, as well as continuing maintenance, consolidation and strategic reengineering of our core platform. Developers on the Risk team work closely with Market Risk, Finance and Traders to design solutions that drive business growth, efficiency and best-in-class compliance. The Role A technically strong and disciplined developer, with a record of delivering high quality, well-tested solutions in a mature controlled environment, is needed to contribute to the Risk development and re-engineering effort. The role will require an ability to gain working knowledge in many different types of technologies and an understanding of the unique design considerations that come into play in a diverse and highly interdependent systems environment. A high level of interaction with the business is necessary, since Sensei is the source system for numbers that are looked at by traders, finance teams, and market risk analysts. Key Responsibilities - Build and maintain core system components as well as specific applied tools in Microsoft SQL Server, Unix, Perl and C# - Approach problem-solving with a solid conceptual understanding of the design philosophy behind the systems we use - Build solutions with testability in mind: clearly define expected results as the first step of any project. - "Code for review:" Clearly organize your code and comment where necessary, to facilitate the peer review process - Provide BAU support for issues encountered in daily processing and questions from the business about the system's outputs Requirements - Experience working with complex SQL on Microsoft SQL Server - Programming experience in C# and Perl along with working knowledge of Unix/Windows environments is particularly desirable - Numerical literacy and a good understanding of financial modeling, risk and PnL - An understanding of the fixed income, especially mortgage products is a plus - A precise thought process and an ability to break a large problem into smaller parts* *Samarth* *[email protected] <[email protected]>* *201 620 9700x125* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Vendors" group.
