*Azure Cloud Engineer * *Location: West Allis, WI * *Duration: 1 year * *ANY VISA BUT NO H1* The Azure Engineer will work with different internal business partners and current Azure Architect to migrate existing applications into a newly developed Microsoft Azure platform. The role will include all activities related to working with the business/application owners to understand requirements and deploy their application into the Azure cloud in accordance with the pre-defined Design/Architecture developed. After migration, this resource will also be responsible for operational support of the migrated environment. Cloud Engineer must be experienced configuring infrastructure technology solutions running on Microsoft Azure. Understand and apply foundational architecture, encompassing key design and security elements including network connectivity, subnets, frameworks for role-based access, connectivity, Active Directory design, security stack, patching, Internet egress traffic, backup and recovery, and application management (creation, approval, updating). The role will ensure adherence to change management and regulatory procedures including governing the creation of operational procedures and system qualifications. Leadership skills and cross-team collaboration practices are key requirements in addition to relevant technical skills. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science is required. 6+ years of relevant working experience. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer requested. Demonstrated experience converging applications software and server environments into a virtual environment using Microsoft Azure. Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) experience is a strong plus. Design, develop, integrate and maintain new software functionality. Work closely with other disciplines (systems engineers, architects, infrastructure, configuration management, integrators, and test engineers) to troubleshoot and fix problems, as applicable.
