*Position: Sybase Database Administrator* *Location: Chicago, IL* *Duration: Long term contract* Our client, a financial services firm based in Chicago, IL is looking for a Sybase Database Administrator as a consultant. Responsibilities: · Install, analyze, and configure operating system and/or database products to achieve optimal system performance. · Develop and maintain applications and databases used by the Database group. · Provide “on-call” rotation support. Requirements: - A minimum of 7-8 years’ experience as a Sybase Database Administrator in a multi-node Solaris environment with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot database and system problems. - Extensive knowledge of SYBASE ASE15, Replication Server15 and Sybase IQ15/16 systems and administration practices.
