*Title: Sr. QA Engineer* *Location: Playa Vista, CA* *Duration: 12+ months* *Interview: Phone and In Person (Local Candidates ONLY)* *Job Description:* Will be creating/re-writing/adopting Test Cases, performing *Regression, Integration, System Testing, UAT* Will work iteratively with the business, product and development team, through all aspects of the SDLC, including business requirements, functional specifications, integration and regression testing, using current testing methodologies and tools. Will work on multiple projects at the same time Will create and execute test plans, test scripts and test cases, as well as assist in isolating problems after the software release. *Essential Functions* - Implement efficient and effective test plans for new systems, problems and/or enhancements - Analyze and dissect system requirements and technical specifications to create and execute test cases for large and small business initiatives - Ability to write complex test cases and execute them - Plan, document, evaluate and track testing results to ensure system applications are free from defects - Test new and legacy custom-built applications, with or without the use of formal test cases/scripts - Assist the development team in debugging and replicating issues - Assist various project leads with ad-hoc business analysis tasks - Create complex SQL queries for various ETL and data management processes - Perform data validation using SQL queries/statements - Test web and client-server applications against specifications and documentation - Participate in daily SCRUM meetings - Actively participate in walk-through, inspection, review and user group meetings for quality assurance - Participate in production implementation verification and being accountable for validating system quality - Gain and maintain familiarity with all operating environments *Required* - MS/MA/BCS degree required - At least 10-15 years of in-depth experience and demonstrated proficiency with QA methodology, process and deliverables - Excellent understanding of AGILE/SCRUM methodology - Impeccable verbal and written communication skills - Follow through with assignments, tasks and commitments - Excellent working knowledge of MS-Office applications - Methodical approach in executing daily activities and responsibilities - Use of common sense in day-to-day activities - Work with team members on various assignment within the project - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team - Ability to handle and work on multiple projects at the same time - Excellent Knowledge of SQL and ability to create, execute and validate SQL queries and results - Experience testing complex multi-tiered web based systems and complex data-driven applications - Test Management tool proficiency – TFS (Team Foundation Server), MTM (Microsoft Test Manager), QC (Quality Center) or JIRA - Ability to work hands-on and also provide leadership in the implementation of complex testing solutions. - Display a high-level of initiative and troubleshooting skills in stressful situations - Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external Clients - Ability to effectively work with any coworker within the team or division; - Ability to transfer knowledge and translate technical concepts to non-technical resources and coworkers; - Ability to train junior and mid-level QA engineers, when required - Able to work independently to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision and keep stakeholders informed of progress toward goals - Work concurrently on several projects, each with specific instructions that may differ from project to project Best Regards *Mohit Arora* *mar...@apetan.com <mar...@apetan.com>* *201-620-9700 * 152 * -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Vendors" group.
