The volume of the entire system - catheter, port body, and huber needle - can be as large as 2.5 mL. This is totally dependent on the length of catheter trimmed off, the size and profile of the port body, and the extension tubing on the port access needle. The port body itself holds a very small amount ranging from 0.2 mL to 0.8 mL. Lynn
