I realize that the LPN functions are regulated by each State Board Practice Act so this question is addressed to PA listserves (or those with knowledge of PA Practice Act).
We are a home health agency in PA and do the home nursing visits to IV patients. We are looking at revising the functions of the LPN in regard to IV duties and wanted to know what others are doing. Also, if you feel that working with IV patients in home care is within the functions of the LPN. I have looked in State Board of Nursing Pa. Code Chapter 21, Subchapter B, 49 ยง 21.145 (f) but would like some others interpretation on this.
