Alma, check out "Herman
Miller for Healthcare". They make godd-sized
carts that can be
configured any way you want. Ours does have a pole,
but because of its
size, we keep the ultrasound on its own rolling IV
pole. We are able to
get 14 Bard Full procedure trays on ours along
with gowns, caps, barriers,
extension sets, all the miscellaneous
supplies. Your purchasing dept
should be able to get you a catalog if
they don't already have one.
Otherwise, let me know and I can look up
an address, phone number, etc for
you. We love our cart and was such a
nice step up for us from the old
unit-dose med cart we used before!

Subject: PICC Insertion
Cart
Hello, and Happy Saturday!
Yesterday I got the go-ahead from
my dept manager to purchase a cart for
my PICC insertion supplies. I
don't routinely do other types of IV
therapy, mostly just insert
PICC/Midlines. My cart would need to be big
enough to carry several
kits, masks, gloves, gowns, you know........
Also, it would be nice if I
could integrate an ultrasound machine (?
have a pole for something like that)
just in case I ever get to purchase
one of those.
Are any of you using
a cart that you really like and could recommend to
me?
Thanks
much!!!
