That all depends upon the I.R. Dept. in your facility. I would certainly send a patient to I.R. to have a line placed with ultrasound and fluoroscopy, vs. at the bedside with palpation. Our I.R. Dept. does a good job, though they only have to do a few, as we have bedside ultrasound and a consultative PICC team. Leigh Ann
