The LTC facilities my pharmacy services love the Secure IV catheter. They especially like that there is no blood that comes from the hub as there is a valve that prevents that, even though you do see the flashback when you enter the vessel. It also offers safety in that the stylet is easily pulled into the plastic casing as you thread the catheter into the vessel. We get the product from a vendor in Atlanta.
