RE: Cleaning Ultrasound

I just realized you ask how the cleaning is done.  I use a
sanitizing wipe made by PDI.  We have no policy in place but from
an infection control standpoint, it seems necessary.  Many of the
lines I place are on patients who are in isolation for MRSA or
other nasty organisms.  
I know everyone does not take the same precautions as I do,
especially with things like blood pressure cuffs which go patient
to patient without cleaning between. Patty
