Title: Labels for syringes

What if the labeling was done on the side of the syringe above the level of the plunger… where there is no fluid?

Good question.  I think we would have to ask

the company who manufacturers the syringes.

Will the marker leach through the syringe?

Margy,

Someone in the past has suggested dropping-in a sterile marker to label syringes after meds have been drawn-up.  Don’t know if that may be an option?

Colleagues,

We are struggling with how to label our syringes during our PICC placement
Procedure.  I know labels will soon be available in our kits but we are
being asked in the meantime to find a temporary means to label.

I remember this topic being discussed previously.  Do I remember someone stating that
you could not used syringes that were stamped with what was to be filled in the syringes and
That it had to be a label to attach after the fluid was drawn up?

Can anyone direct me to were I can find this info?

Thanks for your help.

Margy Galloway
