Alaris has a low-sorbing tubing that has "NO" injection ports. It is listed
as "PORT FREE" We use this in our CCU for all narcotic medication, TPA,
TPN, all medications which are on pumps. We currently use the Gemini
pumps. I do know that Alaris makes tubing for several pumps. You just need
to talk to them about what is available.

Subject: port free iv tubing
Does anyone know of IV tubing that is injection port- free that can be
used to infuse intra-arterial medicatons (ie. TPA) on an infusion pump.
To prevent accidental injection of other meds. PVC tubing does not work
on pumps
Thanks Mary
