My, my INS must have been interesting! I left my work today with I believe the same energy I just read! We are quite passionate and know what works for us. I do believe Kathy is right and that we do need to think outside the box. After what I witnessed the last few days of antidotal nursing I do believe that there may quite possibly be technical people who really would want to learn and will take this same passion that we have about PICC lines and practice it faithfully. And then there will be others who think they know it all and will not be taught nor listen. None of us have ideal situations and I do not believe we will find hordes to follow us or join our crusade, we are all an integral part of the future of IV Nursing! Thanks!
