We flush with NS 10 mls only for flush & lock, like all CVCs & PICCs.

Hi All,
Those of you experienced using these HD catheters, how do you maintain the
third lumen (the one not used for HD). Specifically, I'm wondering how
often it gets flushed when not being used and with what concentration of
heparin. One source told us to treat it like a regular percutaneous
central line (which we flush every shift). I'm wondering if a less
frequent flush would maintain patency.
