Well, I have an IRB approved study related to midlines that would provide more than a viewpoint about drawing labs from midlines.  BUT, due to our volume increase of PICCs, we have been unable to address the study.  I am frustrated, but will not give up.  I am still hoping to get this study done.  The results could provide us with guidance to never expect labs draws to occur (like INS says) or maybe change some opinions. Maybe someday, you will read about this study.  AND then again, maybe not, if we never get to do it. Sorry not to have more info for you today.
