No evidence that this large dose of heparin will be more effective
that a smaller dose. Internal volume of these large catheters will be
enough to cause a significant dose if flushed into the patient with

Does anyone on this list serve use Bard/Davol 13.5 french catheters
for stem cell transplants? If so what do you flush them with? I
work in a large teaching hospital and we use these catheters for our
stem cell transplants. We flush them with 1:1000units heparin BID or
QD. We use these catheters like we would a Hickman. Any information
would really help.
