How many mls normal saline and what dose of Heparin are you all using to flush peritoneal ports (for treatment of ovarian CA). We're mixing 1 ml Heparin(5,000 units/ml) with 9ml normal saline and flushing weekly. This is an old policy. We used to see peritoneal ports 15 years ago and then rarely until recently the docs started inserting them again. I would like to update our flush policy. Thanks, Tanya
