We still have some cosmetic changes to make and a couple of small bugs
(like where it has "submitted by admin, etc"), but I've decided we might as
well take the plunge since it basically works.  Let's please take all our messages
to the new site's forum at http://www.iv-therapy.net

When you register you can check two boxes - one to get e-mail from me
and one to get e-mail from our sponsors.  I'd appreciate it if you can check
both boxes but you certainly don't have to.  Once we're all on the website
rather than the listserv, I'd really like to be able to send messages to all
of you at once to announce new features, let you know what to do if there's
a problem or whatever. We can show our support for our sponsors by letting
them send messages about new products, changes in products or whatever I
deem to be something that we all should know.  I promise you won't be
getting many messages from any of us.  If you get e-mail from either me or
the vendors I'd be surprised if it's more than once a week - probably a lot
less.

The rules of the forum are the same as the listserv.  No advertising
allowed, but vendors are very welcome to contribute.  Some of our list's
best experts work for our vendors.

I'm sure there will be a learning curve to using the forum, but please stick with
it for awhile, because I think you'll like it when you're comfortable with the
changes.  When you see the format you will be able to see that it's very important
to enter a subject when posting a new topic.

I've attached a copy of an announcement about the site.  If you could print
it and post it where other IV or picc people could see it I'd appreciate it.
If you have a shared computer at work it would be nice to put it in the
"favorites" file in your browser.  Also, if you're going to a meeting where
people might be interested in this site let me know and I can send you
flyers.

I'd like to make special thanks to a number of people who have sent content:
Paul Blackburn (Bard Access), Jamie Bowen Santolucito, Lynn Hadaway,
Patty Lupak, Nancy Moreau, Deb Richardson and Lorelle Wuerz.  Without
them we wouldn't have a website.  If anyone else has content with permission
to use please send it to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or see my signature for
other options.

Please let me know of any problems, suggestions, comments about the site.  I
hope this site is as popular and helpful as "venous" has been.  Have fun and
many thanks for your support!
