Hello vent Friends.
I cant really understand, that so many of you can go and bread for many week’s and months. Before “you” change the trach. Isn’t it a lot of granulation tissue on the trach, blood and slim at the end and on the back side of the trach. Isn’t this causing a lot of pain and the trach change will become a psychological and psychical thing in the life we hate and are dreadful to do?
Here is my story about my trach history from my injury October 2.1993. And some information about my doctor’s in Sweden. (I always write to much and please excuse my bad English writing)
In the summer of 1995, I had to go 70 miles by care from my home in Norway to get help from the best Doctors and physician at Stockholm in Sweden.

In the summer of 95 I was in Stockholm to meet Mr. Claes Hultling at Spinalis, I told him of my problems I have whit my hard plastic Shelly trach whit an inner trach we did change every morning, the hole trace we change every second month. This hard plastic trach, create lot of tissue and I was bleeding, and when we change the trace it was full of granulated tissue and hard blood coagles and I had a lot of pain.
Mr. Gilis Anderson then adjusts the soft silicon trach made by Bivona. He filmed the area in my trachea in my air way were the trach will be put in. White a small scope over and over again and his engineers adjust the Bivona trace so it fits perfect. Then Gilis told me to start to change the trach every morning. It will properly fells like hell the first week, but after a week or to the bleeding will stop and you well feel no pain when you change, it and he was right.
And since that my problem is gone. I have to helpers every morning change the trach in bed in my own house. I use the Bivona tts. I fell no pain and the whole job is done in to minutes.
