Mark Must admit, never used bpschedreq before - Only had to stop using a media server a few times due to maintenance, but even so, changing it in the policy is going to be easier.

Later, I just changed it back. You can also set the available drive count for that storage unit to 0 & do a "bpschedreq -read_stu_config ". It's supposed to work to reread the storage units but I've had limited success with that. If there's a risk to the media server's filesystems, you might want to move their media db (bpmedia -movedb) to another media server. -M -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Bob Stump Sent: Monday, March 13, 2006 8:20 AM To: veritas-bu@mailman.eng.auburn.edu Subject: [Veritas-bu] only temorarily de-commissioning a media server How can I minimize the effect of a media server temporarily ( 1 week) being out of commission in an SSO SAN environment? I do not want to take any action that would require stop/starting netbackup. Perhaps I could change some timeouts?? _______________________________________________ Veritas-bu maillist - Veritas-bu@mailman.eng.auburn.edu http://mailman.eng.auburn.edu/mailman/listinfo/veritas-bu _______________________________________________ Veritas-bu maillist - Veritas-bu@mailman.eng.auburn.edu http://mailman.eng.auburn.edu/mailman/listinfo/veritas-bu This email is for the intended addressee only.
