I did this before from solaris 8 to solaris 10 with 5.1MP4 I believe back in the day, I did not have a VCS cluster running though.
I took a catalog backup (to tape). I wiped the box clean. I installed solaris 10 (onto new drives) incase I had any problems. I ran bprecover. I set my scratch pool as a scratch pool (its a bug in 5.1) it gets unchecked during a bprecover. I was backup and running after I fixed the various changes with some fiber cards in solaris 10.
