I must be misunderstanding Flashbackups. I thought they were only Fulls.

If you use one policy to run a Full backup (Flash or otherwise) and then you run a Differential from a different policy, the Differential is going to backup everything and continue backing up everything until a Full backup finishes successfully. A Differential, by definition, picks up all of the changes since the last Full backup. So the Full and the Differential should be in the same policy. I'm wondering why you would see the need for two different policies? The second part is a little confusing but Flashbackup can be configured for Fulls and Differentials. In saying that I think I just figured out your original question. You want to create a Flashbackup policy to get a Full backup and then a different policy with a different type to run "normal" Differentials? If that's what you're asking then refer back to the first paragraph. Just create the Flashbackup policy and let it also run Flashbackup Differentials along with the Flashbackup Fulls.
