There is a VMware / Symantec Bundle pack for VM fixes. Has that been applied, as from experience, this has corrected many problems for me.

I've already simulated the successful & failed backup respectively and you can find the log files are attached to this email. During the simulation, the 'verbose' parameter in bp.conf was set to 5.
