I don't see where you've posted a question on this in the current year.

You backup a media server the same way you do any other client except that you 
tell it to use the media server itself as the backup host.   There is no 
special data/catalog backup required for a media server like there is for a 
master server.  Just do normal backup of the filesystem that has NetBackup.  
(Here we do this as part of our standard OS backup so don't even make it a 
separate policy.)
