Have you considered challenging IBM to prove their case? You have documented info from Symantec saying no- IBM doesn't get to just pull this out of their nether regions any more than the rest of us- tell them to put up or shut up. They have to produce documentation supporting their case, or change their tune. You pay them- you are the customer.
