Hi Tiago,

You have answered your question in your first email:

numpaths: 5
c2t0d11s2 state=disabled
c2t0d10s2 state=enabled
c2t0d8s2 state=enabled
c2t0d7s2 state=disabled
c2t0d9s2 state=enabled

Luns 8 to 11 are multiple paths to the same disk, and veritas has chosen the
"controlling disk", as I call it, to be lun 7. Because luns 8 to 11 are the
same disk, they will not show up in a vxdisk list output. Only the controlling
disk will.

You cannot initialise this disk, as the controlling disk (c2t0d7) is not
enabled.

If you wish to see 5 new disks, then you need to make them not multipathed.
You'll need to do this on the storage array.

If you wish to use it as is, then you may need to install the ASL (Array
Support Library) for your HDS array.

Hope this helps,

Greg.

Subject: [Veritas-vx] Problem adding news disks on Veritas

Hello guys,

I'm newbie speaking around Storage/Veritas, and I have one problem like
this:

I'm running SunOS 5.8, directly connected at one Hitachi Thunderbird
9200.

I'm using HTC-9500V connector (Array Support Library) from package
HTC-9500V_268512.tar.Z.

I have 11 LUNs there created, you can see on pictures below:
http://everlinux.com/9200/array_viewer.png
http://everlinux.com/9200/lun_configuration.png

I'm using VEA (Veritas Enterprise Administrator) version 3.2.525.0 for
management, using VNC to get one graphical interface on Solaris.

The problem is: I just can do the management of 6/11 disks that I have.
The problem, I think, is with the 11ยบ disk, how can I see here:
http://everlinux.com/9200/disk7_path.png
http://everlinux.com/9200/disk7_control.png

Each disk have only one 'path' and only one 'control', but this guy
called 'c2t0d7' have a lot of.
