I hate responding to myself but my buddy found the solution to this in
the archives <http://groups.google.com/group/versions/browse_thread/
thread/01cf070dc35b0b8c>. It looks like Leopard creates a
~/.subversion directory. My old computer was upgraded from Tiger.
