If I enter my license key into Versions, it appears to activate fine, but when I restart it goes back to Demo Expired. I have tried deleting Versions, ~/Library/Application Support/Versions folder, and the com.picodev.plist preferences file. It continues to happen then after reinstalling Versions once all of those are deleted. If create a new user account on the computer Versions will activate and stay activated. I did test the betas previously, so it might have some thing to do with it. To me it appears that some thing is being saved under my OS 10.5 user profile that is breaking Versions.
