Not to sugarcoat this, but that seems like a phenomenally, cosmically bad idea.

Do you really want multiple versions of them?

Are you ever going to roll back to older versions?

IMO, using a backup/restore policy would be a better idea for a few reasons.

If the data is important enough that you are even *considering* this,
you should have a solid backup and restore policy/procedure that you
practice on occasion.

This is a perfect opportunity for you to do that. :-)
