Oh, I completely agree about it (unfortunately) not being well- implemented. It's too bad that there's not a solution as well- integrated as TortoiseSVN for Mac. :-(

the problem with the scplugin is that it clutters new files all over the system with its icon/indicators, including files which are NOT under SVN… So while it works, it is unfortunately not do well implemented. That would be nice functionality, but is (and should be) totally separate from Versions. Check out SCPlugin — http://scplugin.tigris.org
