Hi Ellen,

You can try running Versions as root, but that is really not advisable! 

Make sure that your account has write access to the folder where you want to 
checkout to, this can be done by chmod the settings of the folder to where you 
want to checkout to, or add the your account to the group that has permissions 
on that folder.
