Are you talking about their position in the toolbar? You can move those yourself without touching the .xib file; it's a standard NSToolbar behavior in Cocoa apps. Just select View > Customize Toolbar... or right-click in the toolbar and choose Customize Toolbar... to bring down a panel which lets you adjust content, positioning, and appearance of toolbar items.
