I think this should be relatively painless. It's certainly something that I could have a go at at some point.

The same question about Qt4, since PyQt4 is now available and has the
great advantage of been dual licensed on every platform, including
Micosoft's one (I may have to develop a software to be used mainly on
Windows in wich I could include Veusz, and I will probably use PyQt4. Note that if this project is confirmed, I may spend
a small amount of time helping in Veusz code).

This I think is harder although Jeremy will have to comment further.
