Hi - I remember some people were asking for a data capture facility in Veusz.
I've added a preliminary data capture dialog box. It can capture data (using
the standard text data format) from a pipe, file, internet socket or an
external command output. It supports a timeout or a maximum number of lines to
read. The plot can be set to update showing the results of the capture in
progress.

If anyone is interested in trying it out and commenting on what is missing,
grab the latest SVN trunk - see here https://gna.org/svn/?group=veusz

Other features which might be useful, I suppose, are recording a timestamp
dataset, and support for other data formats. It also doesn't yet support
capturing from the command line interface, but I haven't thought of a good way
to do this. Also file, pipe and command line interfaces won't yet work in
Windows (I'm thinking how to solve that...). Finally it's possible that it
would be useful to also act as an internet server rather than just a client.

Jeremy
