Unfortunately not. However, if you can plot the shaded region as error bars instead, you can use the fillvert error bar style, which is shown in the key.

I could investigate showing the fill-below by default. I can't think of any downsides.

Again, not. However, I've just added the functionality to the repository. There's a hidden option when creating an Embedded window:
