I WANT MY HOOK BACK I WANT MY HOOK BACK CRY CRY>
Another story about the 32 hooks and a magnet.
The first time I ever saw them was at a tying session we had each month. This
old time fly tyer brought a box of them to the tying session to show us. He
removed the paper from the box very carefully opened the wax paper that hooks
were wrapped in back then. Just then one of the guys that was looking close at
them let out a sneeze. It came on him so fast that he was not able to cover his
whole face.. Needless to say, the paper flew and the hooks too. We spent a long
time covering the whole area with magnets. When Bunky counted the hooks, we had
recovered all of them.

Chris:
I have a story for you.  In the SFP, I received a size 32 from Hans W, and
proceeded to try and tie a fly.  The jaws spit it out.  I tried to bow out but
Hans sent me another.  I was trying to get it in my vise when it slipped and
disappeared when I knocked a couple of things over when I was looking for it.
Thought this is it then Tony Spezio sent me one, and I finally was able to tie
a fly for the SFP.  A couple of weeks later I was cleaning around my desk when
I thought I saw a glint of gold. I got out a magnifying glass and there in the
rug was a size 32 hook.  Rather than risk trying to grab it.  I took the round
magnet I keep on my tying desk, and used it to pick the hook up.  When I turned
it over to get the hook off, I found two hooks instead of one.  The magnet had
been on my desk the night I'd dropped the second hook and it had been sitting
on it for two weeks.  I passed one on to one of the
tyers in the swap who had bent the one he had gotten.  The other one is
sitting in a small clear plastic box at my local fly shop.
