I know how it is to help with rehab. My wife used to be a CNA at a hospital. She would help the people in and out of bed, etc. Just before we were married, she had a rather large lady (300 lb) fall on her. My wife had a broken ankle and a clicking in her knee. After the cast came off, it was a good 6 months before she would go pain free the whole day. It still bothers her once and a while if she is on it a lot, but she was in rehab for a long while. It really slows them down.

Surgery went great. Imagine them being able to replace a knee in just 56 minutes. Anyway, so far, so good. She is in a lot of pain, which is to be expected with a 13 inch incision down the front of her left knee..But other than that, she is walking with a walker, and is able to bear all the weight she can handle on that leg already..
