I've been a member of the VFB for 10 + years. And . . . .we've always treated each other as family, including births, deaths, birthdays and other info that friends pass along to each other. I said it once before when I was the MODERATOR of this list and I'll say it again. All work and no play makes for a miserable exixtence. Likewise, Posts limited strictly to fly fishing / tying makes for a very dull list. Dull lists are ones that lose membership. We gain a few members and we lose a few members. Nothing wrong with that! I for one welcome a little "banter" among members and also short family updates. Hey, don't tell a grandpaw that he can't let the list know he's just become a grandfather.
