Folks: I recently bought a Gamefisher 5hp Outboard. It has a small hole in the plastic onboard gas tank where a bolt head that hold the engine cowling on, vibrated against the tank and eventually wore a small hole in the tank. I bought some oversized head rivets, and was gonna try one of those, backed with a neoprene washer. That still may work. But if it don't, or if I don't want to take a chance on getting off down the river and that rivet vibrating loose and starting a gas leak, I was going to try to find a gas tank. So, I googled "Gamefisher 5hp gas tank" and a few other phrases, hoping to find an after market or used tank. No such luck. So, does anybody know where I might find a tank for this engine??? Also, what I had in mind when I bought it, was this. It has an external connector, and I was just gonna use the 6 gallon tank I have. But, whereas any outboard tank line I have ever seen has TWO fittings, male and female.. One is a lot bigger than the other. I guess they made them like this so one would be a vent line, or an alignment hole/tube. Anyway, this motor only has a single male tube sticking out of the motor. Would I just buy the universal gas line and leave the fitting off one end, and then hose clamp the one end right on that male tube sticking out of the motor??? And then I'd just have to pump up the pressure every so often I guess, just like a regular tank??? Thanks for ANY help. I know NOTHING about these type engines, but got a steal of a price,($75) since it DOES run by spraying ether into the carb,so I snapped it up. Chuck
