Hi Alan.....ALL his dubbings are great.......(i've seen various people usin'
them etc.), but the only one i've bought so far (in EVERY Color), is the
Semi-Seal. The main reason i LOVE it......well, two reasons, is because 1. i
don't have to make blends (big time saver).....because i hate (for the most
part) to use "most" dubbings right outta the package.....and prefere to blend
different colors/mix 'em together to come up with more natural, softer, hipper,
"blends." but with his stuff.......that isn't nessessary, cause it's already
been done.......his colors are never strikingly ONE thing.......he's got KILLER
"blends." And 2. the fibers are SERIOUSLY LONG...........and i almost ALWAYS
pick out my bodies.......BIG TIME. i just LOVE picked out bodies.......and that
AZ dubbing can
be picked out for days.......then you can pick it out some more. KILLER
stuff........he's sposed to be sendin' me some samples of the new Semi-Seal
soon...........says it's got even longer fibers.................YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, i can dig it............cause i NEED it LONG.
When you workin' on hooks all the way up to say.....size 20/0.........you NEED
LONG fibers...........with picked out bodies the way i like 'em........you
wanna have the fibers to at least reach down as far as parrelle with the hook
point. Now apply that theory to a 20/0 hook, and you begin to understand what
i'm after in fiber length. later, mark

Mark:
which one of John Rohmers are you talking about.
The Sparkle Yarn, the Simi Seal, The Rabbit Sheen or the Minnow Hair?
Thank you,

for the list
Pretty cool tyin' station..............here's a fly i did night before
last...........head looks much better now; than it does in this pic......i
managed to "fix" it a bit, lol. Still not at all happy with it......but thass
ok.........i got a "Thing" bout heads..........and this one pisses me
off.....but, it's not the end of the world..........lol. Of the 5 basic styles
of winging Salmon flies.....Slips, Married, Mixed, Built, and Single
feather.....this is what's known as a "Mixed" wing style. i very rarely do an
"Artistic" fly without a bead anymore.....just KArazy bout beads. This
particular bead was very inexpensive. Hooks is a Sprite 5/0 extra long. The
tail is Kori Bustard.....the butt is genetic saddle hackle, the bead veiling is
dyed burnt Orange Ring Neck Pheasent, and the wing is a combination of the dyed
Ring Neck, natural and dyed Golden Pheasent and dyed Hot Orange Amherst
Pheasent.....throat is Olive Marabou.....collar is Ring Neck Pheasent
feathers.....two.....body is just some dubbing that was handy, and looked like
a pretty cool color to use...........lol. i've got every dubbing known to
man.....but my favorite nowdays in Arizona.....if you've never tried
it.........DO! Stuff is out of this world GORGEOUS! http://www.azflyfishing.net
John Rohmer owns the company and makes and dyes all his own
dubbing.........INCREDABLE stuff. mark.....
