Most the guys i know who tye these flies at shows.....or for frames, swaps, etc.........do them in size 6 or 8. Hence i'll go with a size 6.....they look better and are easier to see in a frame that way. i dunno bout most of you guys.....but i tend to save 90/95% of my swap flies and put them on display to one degree or the other........i hardly ever fish them. i believe Don Bastion did all the Bergman flies in "Forgotten Flies" in size 6. And he even fishes them in that size. Although like Neville suggested.....you go in a fly shop, and your much more likely to find a Leadwing Coachman in a size 14. Least here in the Catskills anyway. mark.....
