I agree. Once I was fishing a local river with some frriends from my club. It was early November and we were after Coho (Silvers) that were conspicuous by their absence. A thunderstorm crashed and rumbled in the distance with the usual flashes of lightning. I thought it was unusual to have a thunderstorm in November. I was holding my rod horizontal behind my back for some unexplained reason when I suddenly got a jolt from it like static electricity. It seems that the ground where I was standing was charged with positive ions. Gave me quite a scare.
