i bought three fly cases/dispaly boxes.....BIG ONES, like you see in a fly shop, with SCADS of compartments for either an unreal number of different patterns, or still, lots of patterns in many different sizes. Two of them have sliding plexiglass tops and one has a lift top. Between the three of them.....you could stock THOUSANDS of flies.......which is exactly what i'm goin' to do. So, when your in the area.......drop over......i gotta do somethin' with all these hooks i got. We're basicaly opening a fly shop.....that only sells flies. Mostly collector flies, but also some fishing flies. And over time, perhaps more and more fishing flies. It all depends on demand. Being as these rivers here can be fished 365, with nothin' but a Wolly Bugger, a Zebra Midge and a Scud..........there really is no demand for a huge selection of flies. But personally i'd rather fish op top if at all possible.....so i will be providing some emergers and dries you won't find in other fly shops. Visits will be by appointment only.....so you'll have to call ahead. Any of you hopper freaks wanna donate hoppers (or anything else for that matter), to "the cases".....i'll send you the money they bring in, after they've been sold.....sort of a consignment type a deal, but with no commissions for me. So, i've got them all cleaned up now and fitted with new screws. Boy, that was a job. I had to take them completely apart and clean every single divider, the top, sides, fronts, backs, bottoms, and the glass.....the old screws has rusted.....because whoever originally built them had not thought to use screws that wouldn't rust. Was a filthy job, but actually fun to bring 'em back to life again. They're lookin' pretty good.......NOW, to fill 'em. later, mark..... Hotmail® is up to 70% faster.
