personally use this contraption I had custom made for me, with an overhead
flourescent light, as my diffusor.

Finally,
low-tech, simply place them on a flatbed scanner – which works best for
streamers, buggers, etc.. with a white
gummy
eraser to prop the lid up. Get great even lighting that way
too.
