So . . no way are we going out on the lake in this kind of weather. Likewise with golf - too damn hot! I'm not doing any tying right now, but will resume my place at the bench this fall. I'll be hosting some kind of "theme" fly swap, as usual. I'm open to ideas. to give you an idea, here are the swaps I've hosted over the last ten years: March Madness I & II, Colors I & II, Retiree, Ham Radio, Chili Pepper, Eagle Scout, Blues I & II, Courage, the swap for my wife while she was battling cancer, Redneck, Steelhead, Renegade, Murphy Memorial, Old Fart. We've had a bunch of fun with these swaps and there's usually 15 or so that sign up. ANY IDEAS? Lemme Know. I guess what it boils down to is that I've not had much to say or pass along to the group. I'm hoping to get to New Mexico - Philmont Scout Ranch in Sept. if my ankle is strong enough, wade the Cimarron and Rayado. Son Joe and I can fly fish from the decks of the bass boat, but you know, IT JUST AIN'T LIKE WADE FISHING. Sure miss that. Best Regards to All.
