Another option is to go to your nearest hospital or surgery center and ask to talk to their materials management person. Ask them to sell you several of the largest "sharps counting" boxes that they use for surgery needles and blades. They are little red plastic boxes with foam on one side and a magnet on the other. they are not expensive (about .75 cents apiece) and will hold, depending on the size of the fly, from 18-20 flies.
