The 1.3 megapixl webcam my son gave me cost 33.00 plus tax. Says it will take
stills to 5.2 Megapixl "Interpolated" whatever that means. It is also writtin
in Spanish, LOL. It does not have lights or mic. I think 6.00 is cheap for
something that will work at all. I have not gone back to the store to see about
upgrading the one my son gave me. I would think upgrading it will cost another
10 to 20.00.
Just checked the box again, it does have a Mic but no lights.

Hi Neville;

I consider myself fairly tech savy but can't quite comprehend what they're
saying.  Is the 12 megapixel rating with software enhancement and the actual
megapixel rating is thus much lower?

Either way, seems like a cheap try at getting a potentially useable webcam.

Wayne:

I just noticed the following statement at the bottom of the page – I was
thinking Camera pixels.

“Our webcam pixel mean picture pixel, it is not camera pixel . Webcam pixel is
the product of multiplication between the width of capture and the length of
capture. Pixel has dynamic pixel and static pixel. The Static pixel is used to
capture pictures, and the dynamic pixel is to capture video. The video pixel of
webcam is more important if it is used for video, and the picture pixel is more
important if it is used to capture pictures. Our webcam mean picture pixel.
There are many parameters can impact the effect of the webcam, IC, layer of
glass lens Etc.”
