I've never met Shane Stalcup but I have a least one VHS video by him and
also his book "Mayflies from Top to Bottom." In my opinion, he was an
excellent & innovative fly tier and I think that I ordered his catalogue
many years ago. Unfortunately, his fly tying materials when available
,which was not often, were extremely expensive here in Canada and I refused
to pay the price, except for some of his wing material that I bought but
that too was way overpriced.
He died too young at age 48. The cause of death was not given.
