finally I got my flies yesterday.
For some odd reason customs decided to catch the envelope. So I got a
note, that something is not ok and I have to show up at customs.
Was funny to explain them what a fly swap is. Then the envelope was
officially opened by an authorized person. Carefully checking and
everything was fine with them.
Peggy labeled the envelope as 'gift', which worked all the years. I
assume someone with missing English know how saw the package, 'gift' is
also a German word, but means 'poison'...
One question: I cannot identify one fly, look like a bwo, has a material
list attached, but no tyer name. Can be Tom Davenport or Bob
Laubengayer. All other flies I could assign to tyers.
I should add, that this is really a great bunch of flies, and it was a
pleasure to inspect them and take photos.
But is was sad, to take Larry's fly in the hand
